“From Nursing Homes to Nations: Why the Mission of Changed Lives Matters Now More Than Ever”

“God First – Changed Hearts – Changed Lives” isn’t just our motto—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do.

In 2001, when I first stepped into a nursing home as part of the Changed Lives Convalescent Ministry, I didn’t know how far God would take this calling. I saw faces that were weary from life’s battles, yet still longing for connection, joy, and hope. And I knew—this was my mission.

Today, the work continues. Every week, our teams bring worship, Bible study, prayer, and encouragement to residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities across Tennessee. Through Pathway to Life Bible Study, we create space for fellowship, counseling, and spiritual growth—not just for residents, but for anyone seeking a deeper walk with Christ.

Why This Mission Matters

The elderly, the sick, and those in care facilities are often overlooked. Many feel isolated and forgotten. Our presence reminds them that God sees them, loves them, and has not abandoned them.

We also serve those who serve others. Our State-Approved Continuing Education seminars equip Administrators and Staff of Homes for the Aged with the tools they need to provide compassionate, professional care. This combination of ministry and education changes lives in two powerful ways:

By ministering to the soul.

By equipping the hands that serve.

How You Can Be Part of the Story

  • Volunteer — Join us in visitation, music ministry, or Bible study facilitation.

  • Give — Your donations directly fuel ministry programs, CE classes, and outreach.

  • Pray — For the residents, the staff, and our volunteers to remain steadfast in their call.

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Will you answer the call?
